Untuk karakter utama dalam film Warkop DKI Reborn Jangkrik Boss Part 1 ini didukung oleh aktor-aktor ternama seperti Vino G Bastian sebagai Kasino, Abimana Aryasatya sebagai Dono, dan Tora Sudiro sebagai Indro. Warkop DKI Reborn Jangkrik Boss Part 1 mengisahkan 3 petugas lembaga swasta CHIPS (Cara Hebat Ikut-ikutan Penanggulangan Sosial). Mereka menjalankan tugasnya melayani masyarakat, namun kekacauan selalu timbul akibat aksi mereka yang konyol. Hal ini menjadikan mereka bulan-bulanan dari banyak pihak, termasuk Boss (Ence Bagus) mereka. Bukan sekadar karena gigi palsu yang ia kenakan, namun dari gerak tubuh serta cara berbicaranya, kita bagaikan benar-benar melihat sosok Dono yang selama ini kita kenal. Saking miripnya, sepanjang film pasti Anda akan bertanya pada diri sendiri, “Abimana itu wajah aslinya yang mana, ya?” dan bisa dijamin, Anda pasti akan kesulitan mengingatnya.
Tidak hanya Abimana, Vino G Bastian juga patut diacungi jempol. Cara berbicaranya yang lepas dan sumpah serapah yang diucapkan terlihat cukup mirip dengan Kasino. Namun sayangnya akting Vino terasa gagal ketika dia menyanyikan lagu legendaris Nyanyian Kode. Entah kenapa saya tidak tertawa seperti layaknya saya mendengar nyanyian tersebut dalam film Pintar Pintar Bodoh (1980). Mungkin karena adegan film yang terlalu dipaksakan dan sebenarnya kurang cocok dengan isi lirik lagu.
Sementara untuk Tora Sudiro, well, aktingnya sebagai Indro tidak buruk, namun ia seperti memerankan dirinya sendiri. Dengan logat Batak yang kental, akan mengingatkan kamu pada tokoh yang Tora perankan di film Naga Bonar.
Indro Warkop pun hadir dalam film ini sebagai sosok Indro dari masa depan, yang memberikan beragam saran kepada Indro muda. Sayangnya, sosok Indro ini seringkali muncul di saat yang tidak tepat dengan berbagai kostum aneh, dan tidak membawa esensi apapun dalam jalannya cerita. Lawakan sebagai Katy Perry dan nyanyian Minions? That is so last year!
Setting dan kostum juga terlihat sangat tidak konsisten. Di tengah kota Jakarta yang modern dan lelucon-lelucon meme internet, mengapa hanya Dono, Kasino, dan Indro yang memakai kostum 1980an? Satu lagi, saya tidak mengerti mengapa film ini harus dibuat menjadi beberapa bagian. Dengan jalan cerita yang sangat sederhana, pembagian Part 1 dan Part 2 terkesan hanya untuk memanjang-manjangkan film saja. Tapi memang harus diakui hal ini membuat kita semakin penasaran dengan kelanjutan aksi mereka di sekuelnya.
Ironisnya, bagian emas dari durasi 1,5 jam justru hadir di akhir film. Footage Behind The Scene akan membuat kita terbahak-bahak sebelum keluar studio, jadi jangan pulang dulu sebelum kamu melihat end credit-nya.
Memang film ini belum bisa mengalahkan lucunya Warkop DKI klasik. It’s called a classic for a reason, dan tentu saja kita tidak bisa membandingkan Warkop dahulu dengan Warkop yang sekarang karena tren komedi telah berubah. Namun sesuai dengan konsep yang diusung, yaitu #MelestarikanBukanMenggantikan, Warkop DKI Reborn Jangkrik Boss Part 1 dapat memuaskan rindu kita akan aksi Dono, Kasino, Indro versi modern dengan campuran lelucon dulu dan sekarang.
